Wednesday September 9th, 2009 Ulm Tops Bayern Munich in Preseason Game! ratiopharm Ulm topped Bayern Munich 79-69 in preseason basketball action Tuesday night at Saebener Strasse in Munich. Ulm sharpshooter Lee Humphrey hit 5 of 6 threes and made 7 of 9 shots on his way to a game best 23 points leading the Ulm attack while Christian Burns added 19 points 7 boards, Coleman Collins chipped in 15 points 6 rebounds and Rocky Trice finished with 13 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the Ulm win. ratiopharm Ulm shot 47% from the floor making 46% from three (6 of 13) while limiting Munich to 31% floor shooting. Bayern Munich raced to a 12-3 lead early in the game before ratiopharm Ulm found their rhythm. A Sebastian Betz three gave Ulm their first lead of the night at 23-22 early in the second quarter and ratiopharm Ulm surged to a 40-28 halftime advantage. Bayern Munich responded early in the third quarter erasing their deficit in the first few minutes. Ulm maintained a tight lead 44-43 with five minutes in the third.
