Starring at small forward last season, Emeka Erege returns to ratiopharm Ulm after signing a three year deal toward the end of the 2003-2004 campaign.  The 6'5 athlete emerged as one of the 2.Bundesliga South's top players last season which saw him lead Ulm in scoring at 16.9ppg while grabbing 5.1 rebounds per game in a team high 31:21 minutes per game.  An extremely versatile player, Emeka excels in transition and has a unique knack of finishing baskets around the rim.  Erege can post up effectively and is a slashing driver capable of finishing with touch or with authority.  Surprisingly, Erege ended last year with Ulm's best three point shooting percentage at 40.6%.  Considered among the top defenders in the league, Emeka can guard perimeter and post players effectively.  An extremely intelligent basketball player, Erege comes well coached from his college experience playing for Bob McKillop at Davidson College in North Carolina where he played with Ulm co-captain point guard Michael Bree.  A member of the German National team B roster, Emeka lead or tied for the lead in scoring 14 times for Ulm last season including an amazing 30 point 9 rebound performance when the chips were down at Tubingen.  Off the floor, Emeka began working toward his Masters degree at the University in Ulm this fall.  A native of Lagos Nigeria, Emeka holds both German and Nigerian citizenship calling Berlin home.  He attended Long Island Luthern High School on Long Island New York before moving on to Davidson.  Emeka also enjoys his guitar lessons.
