Saturday January 23rd, 2010 South Tops North 102-92! RATIOPHARM ULM'S BENZING AND GUNTHER ENJOY ALL STAR DAY! Celebrating basketballl in Germany with a fun-filled and entertaining day, the South team topped the North 102-92 putting the finishing touches to Beko BBL All Star Day Saturday January 23rd, 2010 at Telekom Dome in Bonn. Representing their organization extremely well, ratiopharm Ulm young talents Robin Benzing and Per Gunther helped the South team to victory as both enjoyed their first Bundesliga All Star experience together. Basketball fans voted both Benzing and Gunther into the starting five for the South team with Robin leading the Bundesliga in votes.

Playing before a sold out arena in the traditional basketball city of Bonn, the Telekom Dome proved to be an excellent venue for the positive basketball event. Throughout the day, fans were treated to a variety of entertainment and outstanding basketball. Recapping the days events, the South team topped the North 72-68 in the NBBL All Star game, Gottingen's Taylor Rochestie won the Three Point Shootout and Trier's Jamal Shuler captured the Slam Dunk crown. Saturday's All Star game saw the North team take a 24-23 lead after one quarter and hold a 57-53 lead at half before the South team used a 31-21 third to take an 81-74 lead into the fourth. Down the stretch, the South team was able to hold of the North comeback attempt for the 102-92 All Star game win. The South victory snapped a streak of four straight wins by the North team. Bonn big man Chris Ensminger was voted as the games MVP. ratiopharm Ulm All Star starters Per Gunther and Robin Benzing enjoyed the event and helped the South team to the win as Robin totaled 5 points 2 assists in 17 minutes while Per distributed 2 assists 1 rebound in 20 minutes of action. Saturday's All Star Day was an excellent experience for Ulm's young talents Per Gunther and Robin Benzing.
